Is the Fool foolish or do they actually not care about you?

Stop the bleeding... or take advantage of low interest rates and cash back?

Is the Fool foolish or do they actually not care about you?

Post by mcmastodon »

I typically assume the worst of people. I'm a pessimist. Whatever.

So, the Motely Fool... the longstanding website, podcast, etc., that acts as a media source and advisory firm for the everyman's finances... right?

Dig this: https://www.fool.com/the-ascent/credit- ... ty-review/

They are claiming that this is a great deal. Yet, on the second page of the CC agreement (I posted below) it shows that there is a 5% fee per dollar one transfers. Unless the Motely Fool is advocating that one holds huge ass balances for a long period of time, this is no deal at all but rather just click bait, helping Citi make money, and likely getting an affiliate fee kickback for the Fool at the expense of fools.

Rant over.

Yeah they didn't vet this one or represent their followers' interests. Bigger question is why does their audience need credit card debt consolidation advice. Seems odd.
